What should my child wear?
Dress your child (and yourself) in warm layers, with a jacket. The weather at the park can be cooler then in the rest of the city, especially at the beach. If you have synthetic or wool clothing, please wear that.
Is it bad to wear cotton?
Cotton is fine when it is not raining, but when cotton gets wet, it wicks heat away from the body, making you or your child colder. Wool and synthetic materials will keep you warm, even when wet.
Does my child need hiking boots?
Hiking boots are not necessary, or even expected. It is more important for your child to have comfortable shoes.
